Formerly Known as "Anonymous Army Wife"

This blog started in January 06 as a way to record the emotional ride I was facing when my soldier deployed to Iraq. I was worried about being a single mom to 3yr old twins and 10 yr old twins without doing any permanent damage that may require them to be sent to therapy later on in life. The marriage didn't survive, now I'm starting over. Join me through the ups and downs, the laughter and the tears as you peek into a day in the life of a former "Anonymous Army Wife"

THE ARMY WIFE--He takes her from the home she knows to lands of which are new -- Survival in an unknown place becomes her test of truth -- Her burdens are of many and his thanks sometimes are small -- She keeps her faith through thick and thin and makes the best of all -- She lives with some uncertainty know not what dawn may bring -- But he knows nothing stops his girl from doing anything -- Whether star or stripe or bar adorns his collar for his strife -- Nothing means more to a soldier than the one he calls his wife. -Author Unknown (Any of y'all buy that crap?)

100 Things about ME ! ! (81-100)

It's about time I finished this list up........Here Goes......

81-100 things about 81. I use dryer sheets all over the house.
NOT just in the dryer. I love the smell! I put them in my pillow cases, under the sheets, in clothing drawers, in the pockets of jackets, in the bottom of kids tennis shoes, in heater vents (when I had them) if you know of a random use for a dryer sheet, pass it along to me.
82. I always set two alarm clocks to wake in the morning.
One close by, set 20 minutes before I actually have to get up, where I can hit snooze a few times. Then one set at the time I really have to get up sitting further away so that I actually have to get up to turn it off. This drove my husband nuts. My reasoning is that I have to wake up slow. By the time the final alarm has gone off, I've already hit snooze twice on the first clock. I didn't have time to fall back into a deep sleep and I'm more willing to get my ass up.
83. I HATE peas.
Always have.
84. I think broken promises suck

Don't make them if you can't keep them.
85. I can't wait until the day I can officially call myself a non smoker. ***UPDATE....As of June 2011 I quit that nasty habit and drinking is a rarity as well!!!!
It's way less than it use to be but I can't kick the habit totally. My smoking rules are...... never in the car, never indoors and never before 6pm. I would like to put them down forever.
86. When I was Breanna and Tre's age I wanted to be a Marine Biologist after I read a book called, Shark Lady.
The true adventures of Eugenie Clark. I loved that book! I read it over and over when I was in 4th and 5th grade.
87. I was a Kappa Sweetheart for Kappa Alpha Psi in College.
It was a little sister organization for the fraternity. I was the token white girl. It was a blast. Our line name was 24 Flava's of Flav. That shows you how long ago that was. We got to perform in step shows in Austin and around Texas with our straight canes. We did alot of community service activities. Oh, and the parties.......don't get me started. Great memories!!
88. I feel tremendous guilt that I don't recycle on a regular basis.
Besides the Save the Earth aspect.......In Hawaii, you are throwing money out the window if you don't at least recycle your aluminum and glass. You are charged a fee when you purchase that item at the store. You are refunded the fee when you recycle the item. All my neighbors do it and they make decent pocket change every month. I have no good reason why we don't do that in our house.
89. I think that Boxer Briefs are sexy!

Damn, where did that one come from?
90. I have never been arrested.
Not even close. I got my first traffic violation ticket when I was 30 years old. I still don't agree with having got one at all in the first place. The road was icy. I was on a steep hill in Colorado Springs. The damn telephone pole came out of no where. It coulda happened to anyone. Failure to maintain control of the vehicle.... my ass.
91. Trucks are way sexier than sports cars!!
Trucks are just manlier than wimpy little sports cars. ; )
92. I have to fall asleep with the TV on.
I can't sleep with it on all night. I set the sleep timer for 40 minutes. I usually put it on Fox News. Keep in mind this is when I am sleeping alone. Sex is the other thing that will put me right out but I'm currently deprived in that area so Fox News it is.
93. I cannot back up into a parking space to save my life.
I stick to driving forward whenever possible.
94. I'm a wannabe computer geek.
I get so frustrated just thinking about all the things I don't know.
95. I used to have a huge crush on Sean Elliott when he played for the San Antonio Spurs.
Obsession may be closer to the truth. Damn, pesky restraining order!
96. I'm damn proud to be an American.
Though, unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the norm anymore in this country. That makes me sad.
97. I have to sleep with three pillows.
And they have to be arranged a certain way.
98. I love pens.

I have this thing for good quality, easy flowing pens. I like pens with a little bit of weight to them and a good grip. Not to skinny, not to thick. Nothing is better than writing with a good pen.
99. I crave peanut butter several times a week.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Peanut Butter!

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST.................................................................................

100. There is nothing I can't do or have if I want it bad enough and set my mind to it.
I wrote that one so that i can look back and remember it when I need to.

WOO HOO, I did it ! ! As painful as it was I came up with 100 random and useless facts about me. I get very happy finishing something I start, so as sad as it sounds, I'm considering this my biggest accomplishment for the day. Yes, now that I typed it out and see it in black in white, it is indeed very sad. But that's okay, I'm sitting here in my computer chair doing my happy dance. I'm gonna carry my happy dancing self out back and have a victory cigarette. Hey! It's after 6pm, it's all good bay-bee!

The pressure is on now Donna........whatcha got girrrrl?

If you missed any prior "100 things about me" entries........

We are more alike than I realized!! I guess that is also a point for the positive in doing this..some of the things you think are a little nutty about yourself, aren't so out there after all...and again, I say I plan to copy your idea on my blog in the future.
Great job and info into the mysterious Kristin =)

So I've gone thru all 100 things about you and feel relieved to find that I'm not the only one with quirks :) I'm not quite sure how I came across your blog, but I'm glad I did I'm an AF spouse, on my own a lot with the kids, so I can relate to a lot of what you say. Good luck with your kids and future endeavors...Oprah could always use more friends, and it's more likely once your a successful entrepreneur :) Cheers, Ebonita
PS. I, too, may copy your idea...Maybe I'm not as boring as I thought!

Hey! I started a list like this back a few years ago -- I am now close to 300 things. It's an amazing journey in self discovery and as you have to do more you have to think harder too! It's fun to read back through them!

Come check it out http://www.taracrooks.com/personal.php and we'd love to have you visit our show and blog on Army Wife Talk Radio! :) Hugs! Tara
